Sun Protection Grid for Roof Glazing in the new 3-fold Sport Hall Clervaux

The new gymnasium in Clervaux offers space for up to 650 students. The community facilities such as restaurant, multifuntional room, entrance area, administrative office and teacher's offices are found on the south section of the building. On the eastern section you will find the class rooms. The sport complex located on the north includes a triple sports hall which is equipped with OKASOLAR 3D.

OKASOLAR 3D unites apparent opposites in the sports complex with the 3-fold sports hall: effective sun protection with effective exploitation of daylight. The highly reflective, threedimensional grid keeps direct sunlight from entering the interior at any time of day or year. Thanks to its geometry, the grid allows a maximum penetration of diffuse daylight and ensures an even degree of illumination, regardless of how weather conditions may be.

The values of the test measurements confirm the efficient combination of a maximum reflection of the direct irradiation and optimum permeability to diffuse daylight. The direct light transmission of OKASOLAR 3D lies at max. 85 % in the area of permeability, the diffuse light transmission is 23 %. The TSET lies within the lock-out area at a maximum of 0.10.

A further advantage: the daylight system is maintenance-free due to its protected position in the cavity. And, OKASOLAR 3D has a very convincing design: the main louvre are produced from rolling formed aluminum bands which makes it possible to produce almost any length without seams or joints giving the sun protection grid a captivating, uniform appearance.
